Tripora ("we", "us", or "our") operates the Tripora mobile application (the "Service"). This page informs you
of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our Service and
the choices you have associated with that data.
1. Information Collection and Use
We collect several different types of information for various purposes to provide and improve our Service to
you.
Types of Data Collected
- Personal Data: While using our Service, we may ask you to provide us with certain
personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify you ("Personal Data"),
including Email address, First name and last name.
- Trip Data: Information regarding trips, itineraries, and expenses that you manually
enter into the application.
Device Permissions
To provide certain features, Tripora may request access to the following on your device:
- Camera: We request access to your camera to allow you to take photos of receipts and
attach them directly to your expenses.
- Photo Library: We request access to your photo library to allow you to select existing
images of receipts to attach to your expenses.
- Local Storage: We use local storage to persist your trip data and settings on your
device for offline use.
Images and media accessed through these permissions are only used within the app to facilitate your expense
management and are stored as described in the "Storage and Data Security" section.
2. Use of Data
Tripora uses the collected data for various purposes:
- To provide and maintain the Service.
- To notify you about changes to our Service.
- To allow you to participate in interactive features of our Service (e.g., inviting friends to trips).
- To provide user support.
- To monitor the usage of the Service.
3. Storage and Data Security
The security of your data is important to us, but remember that no method of transmission over the Internet,
or method of electronic storage is 100% secure.
- Authentication data is managed securely via Firebase.
- Trip and Expense data is stored in our backend database with industry-standard encryption.
- Local data is stored using AsyncStorage on your device.
4. Sharing of Data
We do not sell your personal data. Your data is shared only in the following contexts:
- Collaboration: Other members of a trip you have joined or created can see your name,
email, and trip-related content (expenses/itineraries).
- Service Providers: We may employ third-party companies and individuals (e.g., Firebase
for auth) to facilitate our Service.
5. Third-Party Services
Our Service may contain links to other sites that are not operated by us. We use third-party services like:
- Firebase: For authentication and push notifications.
- UPI Apps: For facilitating settlements (the app initiates a link to your installed UPI
apps).
6. Your Data Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request the correction of inaccurate data.
- Request the deletion of your account and associated data.
7. Children's Privacy
Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable
information from anyone under the age of 13.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new
Privacy Policy on this page.
